Ride with
Potomac Pedalers
Distances for Potomac Pedalers rides can range from 10 miles to 75 miles and average speeds range from 8 to more than 20 miles per hour.
All of our rides are easily organized by ride class.
With a wide variety of options each week, we recommend that riders new to the Club start with a pace that is a level or two below where they think they are.
Ride Class Table
This table shows average riding speeds [mph], typical ride distances [miles], and intervals between rest stops [miles].
Ride class chart
Rides that are classified as AA often use racing tactics , such as rotating pacelines, double-wide paceline formations, and occasional sprints. They also will drop people, only regrouping at points assigned by the ride leader(s). These rides are uncommon but exist from time to time.
