Come join Matt and some of his favorite ride buddies of different generations in celebrating his birthday. This route features some familiar and not-so-familiar bicycle-friendly road through the neighborhoods of NW DC and Bethesda. While there is no rest stop, there will be an optional pre-ride coffee at the DC Coffee Collective (formerly Firehook Cafe) in Dupont Circle, where we will start the ride. Towards the end, after enjoying a long stretch through Rock Creek Park, we’ll finally say goodbye to Beach Drive and head into the Mount Pleasant neighborhood for a post-ride celebration at our good friends, Don Juan Restaurant.

Note: For those traveling from the suburbs, the ride start is a hop, skip, and jump from the Dupont Circle Metro station. The post-ride celebration at Don Juan’s is less than a mile from this Metro station as well (and also less than a 1/2 mile from the Columbia Heights Metro station). If traveling by car, we recommend parking on a side street in the Woodley Park neighborhood, which will situate you about 1/2 mile from the ride start and ride end.
