Volunteer

Volunteers are the backbone of PPTC and there are a variety of ways our members can get involved from short-term projects to ride coordinators, message committee or bike box rental coordinator.

Volunteer opportunities are available for the Back Roads Century (BRC), the iconic Potomac Peddlers event that will be held the weekend of September 21st, 2024, in Loudon County, VA. To make this a wonderful event for our club and the broader cycling community we need PPTC members to help us organize and staff the BRC. Helping is a rewarding experience and volunteering is a great way to meet fellow cyclists. What's better than having hundreds of riders telling you “thank you” all day long?

Volunteer roles we need filled soon:

Lewes Weekend Catering Assistant (Weekend of April 26th)
Bike to Work Day Rest Stop Volunteers (May 17th)
Ride Coordinators for Virginia (A/AA, B/BB, C)
Message Committee volunteers (rotating 2 week shifts, to be trained by current message committee members)
